We booked a hotel and Soccer Aid…
We booked a hotel and Soccer Aid tickets with coach trip. The coach could not park and left disabled guest with a 15 minute walk to the stadium. They had been assured on the phone that it was a door to fire service! On the return they had to find their way back to the coach across a new town, in the dark, with thousands of people surging forward in the crowd. It took me 45 minutes to get them safely to the coach! This was a disgraceful way to treat your disabled customers.

The hotel 3 course meal was only if you was prepared to wait an extra hour for dessert whilst they took care of room service guest. I emailed UK Breakaway first but no reply.

No information was shared about pick up times etc. I had to phone for these as the hotel did not know!

A shambles and I wouldn’t even give them 1 star! I won’t be using them again!

Great experience
I booked a short, self-drive stay at Bosworth Hall Hotel through UK Breakaways, last year. I had to change the dates as I was unexpectedly called away to work so didn't go until March this year. The original booking was straight forward as was the change of date and inexpensive to change. Upon arrival we found ample parking (although it does become rather full as the hotel seems very popular). There was a bit of a queue to wait in to check in but staff apologised for the wait and were helpful and friendly. The hotel was great, ideally located at the edge of Market Bosworth with plenty of grounds to explore with the dog. The rooms were extremely spacious (bathroom and bedroom) and surprisingly hot although we could open the window to cool down there was no way of switching off the radiator in the bathroom (the bedroom one was off). I booked dinner, bed and breakfast deal with 2 for 1 bar. Meals were served in Jenny's Restaurant on a buffet basis. Dinner was 3 courses with a selection of starters, mains and desserts. Soup was delicious (hot, substantial, tasty), as was the carved meat each night and the cheesecakes! Breakfast was the usual choice of cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit and hot full English, tea, coffee, fruit juice. I liked the fact it was buffet style as it meant we could enjoy our food without having to wait so the dog wasn't alone for too long. My only disappointment was with some drinks. I didn't enjoy the coffee which only came with breakfast, not dinner, and the choice of soft drinks available. I don't drink a lot of alcohol, though the red wine was pleasant, and often opt for a soft drink especially when thirsty. Options were pretty much lemonade or coke and the coke was sugar free only. I do not do sugar free due to the alternative additives in the recipes. There were cans of original coke available to purchase behind reception but not at the deal price although we didn't book for the deal, that was just an added bonus for us. The hotel is dog friendly. They had dog biscuits available at reception, free of charge, water dishes by the entrance and dogs are welcome at a mere £10 a night. All in all a most enjoyable experience. We'd definitely stay again and most certainly plan to book with UK breakaways again.

Great value Tribute Weekend
Great value, Blues brothers and Tina Turner tribute artist at the Prince of Wales Hotel Southport. Hotel looks like its in the process of being refurbished but for what we paid lovely and clean lovely food and polite staff. I would definitely stay here again. Blues Brothers not so good but mainly due to the sound quality but it's cheap entertainment. 2nd night Tina Turner was brilliant. Third time I have used UK Breakaways and will be using again. Thank you for a great weekend L Gladwin

Weekend in Bournemouth
A much needed weekend getaway with a group of friends. Food was good, varied, and you could eat as much or as little as you wanted. Accommodation was good, comfortable and reasonably spacious. Shower was powerful and had hot water. Bath towels were more like hand towels... Or is that cos I'm not 'petite' ?. Entertainment was excellent, such a shame there were so few people booked in... But the group I was with made up for it and we (and I hope the other guests) had a great time. We walked to the beach and into town during the day, and then back to the hotel for the entertainment that was laid on. A special mention to Dawn, our rep, and the evening bar staff in the entertainment room. Thank you for a fantastic weekend.. It was exactly what we expected, and perfect for our needs. We will be back ?.

You get what you pay for
The offer of two nights, half board, with disco and live entertainment, plus 2 for 1 drinks between 1900-2200 hours for £80 was a no brainer for our groups of ladies.

You do, however, get what you pay for so be prepared. Dawn, our weekend rep, was really welcoming, attentive, helpful, approachable and friendly.

The rooms were incredibly hot so we opened windows and turned the heating off. No toiletries were supplied and the tray of tea and coffee was very basic. Food was plentiful at mealtimes although lacked a lot of fresh foods (vegetables, fruit, etc). The 2 for 1 drinks deal only applied to certain items.

With all that said our group were there to have fun and enjoy themselves and certainly achieved that - whether the other guests approved or not!

Great location for walking to either Bournemouth or Boscombe beach although the Avenue indicated a lot of vehicle crime (broken windows) so definitely make use of the hotel car park but be careful how and where you park.

Nothing as booked
Booked 3 double rooms for the Norbreck hotel in Scarborough for 4 nights from 24th January through UK breakaway. Got a phone call 3 days before to say only 2 doubles and a twin available. Obviously took my booking knowing they was going to change it later on. Also advertised entertainment for our stay only to be told when we arrived there was no entertainment at all during our stay, no word from UK breakaway to inform us of this before we travelled. Very poor customer relations. Won't be booking with them again.
On the plus side, everyone at the Norbreck hotel looked after us very well, with special thanks to Claire who tended the lounge bar and was a willing ear to converse with in the absence of entertainment, a real sport and great asset to the hotel. Also the Manager who did find us another double room.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
In February 2020 I booked a group package for a two night stay in Blackpool in May 2020 costing £880, COVID restrictions hit in March 2020.

UKBreakaways cancelled my booking and offered me "vouchers" to be used at a later date when restrictions had been eased. A refund was point blank refused.

In April 2020 UKBreakaways went bust, rendering any outstanding amounts or "vouchers" not even worth the paper they were written on.

I eventually got a refund after asking my bank to do a debit card chargeback. Luckily this was successful but in absolutely no part due to UKBreakaways.

In December 2021 I then received a UKBreakaways brochure through the post, a quick look online and they are now trading again. This is without doubt THE worst company I have ever dealt with.
